Reality Star Arrest

reality star arrest

Reality TV Star Lindsie Chrisley was arrested in Georgia this May for a DUI. This is another in a string of arrests tied to the real-estate tycoon family that made their name on Chrisley Knows Best, a show that ran on the USA Network from 2014 to 2023.

Lindsie Chrisley was arrested in Cherokee County on several charges, including DUI Less Safe, attempting to elude police, improper passing, reckless driving and speeding. According to US Weekly, this was after a BOLO (be on the look out) was issued to police for a driver speeding through a residential area. When the officer pulled her over, they described her as slurring her speech, although she explained that she swerved after a driver in front of her almost hit a deer.

Why was she arrested for a DUI Less Safe? In Georgia, police can still charge you with a DUI, even if you do not take a breathalyzer test. Or, your Blood Alcohol Level (BAC) registers below a .08, the legal limit in Georgia. If they believe that there is other evidence to suggest that a driver is operating a vehicle under the influence, an arrest can still be made. But, officers must prove to a court that the driver was “less safe” while driving under the influence without the BAC evidence. Chrisley denies driving drunk. She was released on bail and says she plans to fight the charges.

Lindsie Chrisley is the daughter of Todd Chrisley, who was the focal point of the show, which followed the family in their wealthy lifestyle in the North Atlanta suburbs of Roswell and Alpharetta. The family has been at the center of several large scandals. They were found guilty in 2022 of bank fraud and tax evasion, but were later pardoned by President Trump. Then in 2025, their son Kyle was arrested on a number of charges including public intoxication.

While the Chrisley family has remained in the public spotlight for legal reasons, Lindsie Chrisley’s case is still pending and it remains to be seen whether or not police gathered enough evidence to convict her.
