3 Atlanta New Year’s Eve Driving Alternatives
New Year’s Eve always sees record numbers of DUI arrests. At Schiavone Law Group we encourage you to think ahead when it comes to having a good night on the town on New Year. If you are planning on heading out tonight, check out these options to avoid calling us tomorrow!
1) Uber
Uber is the modern day taxi. It connects riders to drivers through the “Uber” app (Go here to download Uber https://get.uber.com/). Uber is a network of drivers in their personal vehicles connects with people needing a ride. Founded in 2009, it now exists in hundreds of cities today. It’s like a taxi on call who might just be a vetted neighbor with some free time on their hands. Uber prices can fluctuate, so if the going rate is too high, wait 10 minutes and try again.
2) Tow to Go
Georgia has a particular program that is to be used as a last resort on New Year’s Eve and holidays. It’s called Tow to GO, call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO to get yourself and your car towed home. It’s free. Of course, you are encouraged to set up your designated driver before drinking via the program, but they will deliver you and your vehicle in 10 miles on a holiday. 3)Victory Taxi
Victory Taxi services all of Atlanta through a network of over 150 taxicab companies. New Year’s Eve service is one of the busiest days of the year for them. Expect at least an hour wait for your cab if you decide to this route. In 2010, they served over 4,000 cab rides on New Year’s Eve. (770) 428-2626
